The Australian Access Federation (AAF) is a combination of technology and policy, which offers a trust framework for Australian university users through a single sign-on to access Dataplace.

AAF is a vital part of the Australian eResearch infrastructure landscape enabling safe and secure exchange of information between education and research institutions both locally and internationally.

If your university is not subscribed to AAF, visit the website for setup instructions. AAF subscriptions may incur costs, including a one-time joining fee and an annual subscription fee, varying based on the selected AAF option.

Dataplace currently only allows Australian university faculty, staff, and employees access. University students are not permitted access. If a student requires a service provided through Dataplace please contact your university data coordinator to explore options.
