There may be circumstances in which a lead custodian may choose to terminate a data sharing agreement that is registered or a general data sharing agreement that has been agreed. To terminate an agreement, the user must be signed into Dataplace and have the Organisation Administrator or Data Coordinator permission or be an active participant on the data sharing project (contributor, contact officer or approving officer).
Finding the data sharing agreement
Data sharing agreements are managed in the ‘Manage data requests’ tab.
To access, log into Dataplace using your preferred authentication method. Select the Manage data requests tile from the home page or Manage data requests from the Services drop-down menu.

In the Manage data requests page, you will find three tabs for managing your organisation’s data sharing requests and agreements within Dataplace. Select the Custodian tab and click the data sharing agreement to terminate (noting it must have a status of Registered – In Effect or Agreed – In Effect).

Terminating the data sharing agreement
In the data sharing agreement form, find the ‘Actions’ icon (three vertical dots) on the right-hand side and select ‘Terminate’.
/msdyn_blobfile/$value)
You will be presented with a pop-up window to provide a justification to terminate the data sharing agreement.
Note: The justification field is mandatory.

Note: The reasons you provide must be consistent with any requirements included in the data sharing agreement that are related to its termination.
Once you have provided a justification, click on the 'OK’ button. The status of the data sharing agreement is then updated to Registered - terminated if it was under the DATA Scheme or Agreed - terminated for general data sharing agreements.
