Authorised officer
The Data Availability and Transparency Act 2022 (Act) require that certain actions, such as submitting an application for accreditation and entering into DATA Scheme data sharing agreements, can only be made by an Authorised officer. An Authorised officer is the senior most individual within an agency or organisation, typically for this will be the Secretary of a government department, the Vice Chancellor level of an Australian University, the Director or Chief Executive Officer of an eligible entity.
Please refer to the guidance note for detailed information about Authorised officers.
