Commonwealth, State, Territory and Local government users are encouraged to use the VANguard service, as it will seamlessly connect you to the organisation you are representing. You will need to select VANguard, then the organisation you represent (if required) to Sign in.

In the absence of VANguard, Dataplace uses the Australian Government's Digital ID service to verify users. Digital ID is a safe, secure and convenient way to prove who you are online. myID is the Australian Government’s Digital ID app.

Universities and researcher institution users will select AAF, this service allows individuals across many organisations to collaborate and access national research services and platforms (including Dataplace) within a trusted environment.
